Rick Scott’s story reflects the American Dream. Raised in a working-class family in the Midwest, he lived in public housing and began working at just seven years old. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Ann, he served in the U.S. Navy before building a successful career in business, eventually leading one of the world’s largest healthcare companies. Scott and Ann have two daughters and seven grandchildren.

Scott served as Florida’s 45th Governor from 2011 to 2019, focusing on job creation, economic growth, and lower taxes. During his eight years in office, Florida businesses added more than 1.7 million jobs, while Scott cut taxes more than 100 times, saving families and businesses billions of dollars. His administration also invested in education, law enforcement, transportation, and environmental protection while working to make Florida an attractive place to live, work, and build a business.

Elected to the U.S. Senate in 2018, Scott has focused on fiscal responsibility, government accountability, national security, border security, and protecting Social Security and Medicare. His Senate office was recognized in 2022 for outstanding constituent service. Throughout his career, Scott has emphasized challenging the political establishment and advocating for Florida families and taxpayers.
